Voluntary Action Perthshire (VAP) supports, develops and promotes volunteering, voluntary organisations and social enterprise throughout Perthshire and Kinross-shire.Voluntary Action Perthshire was formed by the merger of the Council of Voluntary Service and the Volunteer Centre. The two organisations have merged to provide comprehensive support for the voluntary sector across Perth & Kinross.

VAP's role is to:

• Provide business support to the voluntary sector
• Promote and support the sector
• Represent the sector at national and local government levels
• Provide training and consultancy for voluntary & community groups
• Help access funding for new and existing groups
• Encourage volunteering throughout the whole community
• Promote and develop volunteering opportunities
• Assist in ensuring proper support and training for volunteers
• Enhance social inclusion through volunteering
