Draft Joint Commissioning Strategy
The Draft Joint Commissioning Strategy (JCS) for older people in Perth and Kinross the Strategy provides a 10 year vision from 2013-23 for the future delivery of care and support services to older people aged 65 years and over. The strategy is being developed by Perth & Kinross Council, NHS Tayside, Scottish Care, PKAVS and other partners in the third sector.
“Our vision is to promote the independence and wellbeing of older people at home or in a homely setting.
We will work together and with communities as key partners in delivering the objectives of the Joint Commissioning Strategy to achieve positive outcomes for older people such as delivering or enabling personalised care and support, independence and a good quality of life. We shall support older people to be active citizens, enabling them to be included and valued within their community.”
The summary outlines the key themes, principles and statements of intent for the first 3 years of the 10 year period and explains how we intend to improve outcomes for older people and the approaches we are taking. Partners are keen to hear your views on the draft strategy, whether you’re an organisation, part of a community group, service user or carer.
We would be grateful if you could please complete the questionnaire, either by downloading the attachment below or via the online survey. You also have the opportunity to add any further comments you may have.
The full Draft Joint Commissioning Strategy along with the Summary and Questionnaire are available above.
Your view will be taken into consideration for the final Joint Commissioning Strategy.
There are ten focus groups being held across Perth and Kinross where you can come along to learn more about the Strategy. There will be an opportunity to ask questions and complete the questionnaire.

Securing necessary funding can be challenging for any community or voluntary organisation. Whether you are looking for a small grant to cover running costs or project funding to try something new, we can help you to source relevant and appropriate funding from local as well as national funders (including specifically rural funding). Moreover, if you have your own property or other assets which you can use as collateral, loan funding may be another option for you, and we can help you to source that at attractive rates of interest.
We are experienced in preparing applications of all types and can help you ensure that you have collected all of the information you need to make your application as strong as it can be. We also run Funding Surgeries with our partners both in Perth and in rural locations. In addition, we provide training on funding issues (see Training Calendar).
We can also support you through the processes of preparing costings, creating systems to deliver, monitor and manage the work being undertaken, reporting to service users, trustees and funders, and reflecting on associated organisational development issues.
You can search for funding. Click on the funding search link in the main menu.
